Huntington, West Virginia, population 51,475, is a beautiful university town with ample cultural, educational, recreational and sport opportunities. Marshall University, with its 16,000 students and more than 1,000 faculty members, offers unique cultural and educational opportunities. The university is expanding and achieving national prominence. Byrd Bio-Technology Building, Kinetic Technology Park and the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is a 303-bed regional referral center offering a comprehensive range of advanced medical and surgical services. A teaching hospital associated with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Cabell Huntington Hospital is the region's leader in trauma, maternity, neonatal, pediatric and joint replacement care. The hospital recently opened the $44 million Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center on its campus and is nearing completion of a new $84 million patient tower that will replace most of the hospital's beds, increase the percentage of private beds to more than 90 percent, create new state-of-the-art clinical areas and double the size of its Level II Emergency/Trauma Center.
