CHH Presents Free Breast Cancer Seminar

Physicians from the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center will present An Overview of Breast Cancer: The Journey Through Treatment from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21 at the Harless Auditorium on the ground floor of Cabell Huntington Hospital and the MU Clinical Practice Center. Participating physicians include pathologist Linda Brown, MD; radiologist Peter Chirico, MD; surgical breast oncologist Shawn McKinney, MD; radiation oncologist Phillip Lepanto, MD; and medical oncologist Maria Tirona, MD. The presentation will cover the many aspects of treatment for breast cancer, including mammograms and abnormal mammograms, chemotherapy and hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, pathology and how decisions are made on the course of treatment for each patient.
