CHH Home Health Only Agency in WV in Top 100

Home Health at Cabell Huntington Hospital has been named one of the 2008 Homecare Elite Top 100, out of 8,222 agencies evaluated nationally. This was the second consecutive year it was honored, and only 19 agencies in the top 100 in 2007 were in the top 100 again for 2008. The annual honor reviews three domains: quality of care, quality improvement and financial performance as it relates to Medicare-certified agencies.
"It is an honor for the home health staff to be recognized as one of the leading home health care agencies in the state," said Andra Hardin, RN, director of the department. "Our agency was the only agency receiving this recognition in the state of West Virginia." Cabell Huntington Hospital Home Health provides care in the patient's home environment. One-on-one relationships allow the homebound patient to receive individualized care in the environment where they are most comfortable. The Home Health Department provides skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, personal care, medical social service and home infusion. It serves Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, and Putnam counties in WV; Gallia and Lawrence counties in Ohio, and Boyd and Greenup counties in Kentucky.
