Last updated: 05/13/2009
This week, Cabell Huntington Hospital marks Nurses' Week with a series of special events to recognize its nursing staff. Cabell Huntington nurses from various departments will also be featured throughout the week in television commercials and newspaper ads as they describe their passion for nursing and their commitment to caring for their patients. Special events this week include contests and special breakfasts for nurses.
"Nursing is a physically, mentally and emotionally challenging profession, and our nursing staff meets the challenge every day," said Bunny Smith, vice president and chief nursing officer at Cabell Huntington Hospital. "They use their skills, experience, warmth and selflessness to serve as advocates for their patients, and they work to exceed their patients' expectations. They demonstrate their commitment to their patients and their profession every day."
