Last updated: 06/17/2009
Cabell Huntington Hospital's SeniorWise program will host a mental fitness presentation on June 25 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Harless Auditorium on the hospital campus.
This free event will provide information for seniors who want to explore ways to sharpen their mind and keep it that way. Skills such as memory, attention, perception and reasoning will be among the topics covered as Bruce Mondschain, president of Catalyst Benefits, Inc., discusses cognitive vitality.
"CogniFit" is a state-of-the-art program geared to address the cognitive needs of two groups — those who are challenged as well as those who simply wish to do all they can to remain cognitively fit. An RSVP is requested and can be made by e-mail to Alisha.adkins@chhi.org or by calling (304) 526-2695 no later than Monday, June 22.
This event is free and open to the public and free valet parking will be available. SeniorWise representatives will also be available to discuss membership opportunities with people over 50 years of age. Cabell Huntington Hospital and Chase sponsor SeniorWise, a free senior membership program for people throughout the Tri-State. The program was developed to meet the needs of older adults who want to maintain their quality of life as they age. SeniorWise offers a number of benefits for members, including health screenings, financial seminars, educational programs, day trips, monthly newsletters and discounts on both hospital services and Chase Bank services.
