ECCC welcomes MD Anderson-trained specialist to Radiation Oncology team

The Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital welcome Richard Matthews, MD, PhD, FRSM, to the Medical Staff. Dr. Matthews is an experienced radiation oncologist who is now seeing patients exclusively at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center. During more than 25 years in the field of radiation oncology, Dr. Matthews has trained, worked and taught throughout the country in nationally recognized cancer facilities including MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Emory University in Atlanta, and Harvard University Medical School.
At the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Matthews joins a comprehensive team of physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating cancer in all forms. Dr. Matthews specializes in the management and treatment of most cancer requiring radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy and high dose rate brachytherapy.
