Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events

Breast cancer survivors will be honored and women can take part in a free screening event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital. | Oct. 16 | Free Breast Cancer Screening at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center – 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Appointments are preferred. Please call (304) 526-2440. |
| Oct. 19 | Breast Cancer Support Group – 5:30 p.m. at the ECCC. |
| Oct. 23 | Breast Cancer: The Journey Through Treatment – Ramada Limited, 3140 16th St., Huntington. |
| Oct. 25 | Walk for Women at Ritter Park - Call (304) 691-1457 for information. |
| Oct. 30 | Memorial & Survivors' Balloon Release – 2 p.m. at the ECCC. |
Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center (ECCC) encourage all women to have regular mammograms and annual clinical breast exams beginning at the age of 40, according to recommendations from the American Cancer Society. To schedule a mammogram, please call 304-526-2270.
