CHH Home Health Department named a Top 500 agency for 2009

CHH's Home Health Department is celebrating national recognition for quality of care.
For the fourth consecutive year, Cabell Huntington Hospital's Home Health Department has received national recognition as a top program. This year, the Home Health Department was named one of the 2009 Homecare Elite Top 500 home health agencies in the nation. More than 8,800 agencies nationwide were considered for the award, and Cabell Huntington is just one of 532 to be recognized four years in a row. Home health agencies are reviewed on their quality of care, quality improvement and financial performance as it relates to Medicare certified agencies.
"It is an honor for the home health staff to be recognized as one of the leading home health care agencies in the state and the nation," said Andra Hardin, Director of Home Health at Cabell Huntington Hospital. "This award recognizes the excellent care that the staff provides to our patients."
Cabell Huntington Hospital's Home Health Department provides care in patients' home environments. One-on-one relationships allow the homebound patient to receive individualized care in the environment where they are most comfortable. The Home Health Department provides skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, personal care, medical social service and home infusion.
