Melanie Akers Joins CHH Staff

Melanie Akers, MSN, RN, has been named Nurse Manager for the Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care units at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Akers is a graduate of Marshall University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 1997 and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration, in 2004. Akers has a strong pediatric nursing background both in general pediatrics and in pediatric intensive care along with leadership experience as a nursing educator at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University School of Nursing.
