Do you know a woman who deserves recognition?
Last updated: 02/11/2010
Nominations are being accepted for two awards from The Woman's Philanthropy Society of Cabell Huntington Hospital through February 22.
The Focus Award and the Kitty Hage Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the Women's Philanthropy Society of Cabell Huntington Hospital annual luncheon on March 6 at 10 a.m. at the Guyan Golf and Country Club. These distinctive awards honor Tri-State women and encourage philanthropy. They are given to individuals who exemplify the heart, strength and compassion of women.
- The Focus Award: honors achievements in volunteerism, pioneer in women's health, community service, professional achievement and home and family.
- The Kitty Hage Lifetime Achievement Award: is presented to an individual whose life’s work has been dedicated to humanitarian efforts. The award is designed for someone who has not sought recognition for her deeds, but has worked solely to better her community and the quality of life for others.
The society is also seeking new members — women who may not be wealthy but want the money they donate to make a real difference in their community. When a woman accepts the invitation to attend the luncheon, she commits to a gift of $100 to the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation to benefit Women's and Children's Health.
Please call Velma Workman at (304) 526-6314 about your nominations and/or reservations for the luncheon.
