CHH announces leadership for Transitional Care Unit

Cabell Huntington Hospital recently announced new nursing leadership for the hospital's Transitional Care Unit.

Sandra Melvin, RN, a 21-year employee at Cabell Huntington Hospital, has been named Nurse Manager of the Transitional Care Unit after spending seven years as Clinical Coordinator. Cheryl Midkiff, RN, BC, has been named Clinical Coordinator after working on the unit since 2000.

The Transitional Care Unit provides comprehensive, sub-acute skilled nursing care following an acute illness or surgical event for patients who do not require continued acute-care services, but are not yet ready for discharge or admission to other healthcare facilities.
