Fellowship-Trained Neurosurgeon joins CHH Medical Staff

Toussaint LeClercq, MD
Toussaint LeClercq, MD, has joined the Medical Staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital. Born in Liege, Belgium, LeClercq is a board-certified neurosurgeon with extensive experience in complex spine pathology and pituitary tumor cases.
He is certified by the American Board of Neurologic Surgeons, the American Board of Forensic Examiners and the American Board of Spine Surgery, and is a fellow with the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American College of Forensic Examiners.
"The Department of Neuroscience at Marshall University feels fortunate to now have the only diplomate of the American Board of Spine Surgery in West Virginia on its faculty," said Bryan R. Payne, MD, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neuroscience at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
LeClercq is a member of more than 15 national and international medical societies and associations, is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has been the co-investigator or principal investigator for a significant number of research studies.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Liege in Belgium in 1966. He completed residencies in Belgium, at the University of Wisconsin and at the University of Montreal in Canada.
LeClercq comes to Huntington from New Orleans, where he was president of NeuroCare International and was a clinical professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Louisiana State University.
