Rob Trivett
Cabell Huntington Hospital has hired Rob Trivett to the position of Director of Physician Services and Managed Care. Trivett began work at Cabell Huntington Hospital on July 23. Trivett most recently served as the Chief Administration Officer for Huntington Internal Medicine Group.
"Rob brings experience in ambulatory multi-specialty physician practices as well as hospital-based physician practices. We are excited to have Rob as a member of our team," said Monte Ward, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Trivett has previously managed business aspects for healthcare groups in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Indiana and New Jersey.
Christine Maniskas
Gov. Joe Manchin, III, appointed Christine Maniskas, MSW, LCSW and director of social work at Cabell Huntington Hospital, to the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners.
Maniskas will serve on the board through June 2010. She began her career in social work with the state Department of Health and Human Resources. She joined the staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital in 1979 and was named director of social work at the hospital in 1989.
Maniskas has certifications as a case manager and for health care social work. She also earned her ACSW in 1990.
"This is an honor for me because I feel it recognizes the years I have spent as a social worker," Maniskas said. "I appreciate the recognition for my involvement in the social work profession in my community."
Manchin made the appointment July 16. The Board of Social Work Examiners is the monitoring board for social work in the state of West Virginia. During monthly meetings, board members consider issues relating to the practice of social work and licensing.
Deborah Garrett
Deborah Garrett, RHIA, CCS, has been promoted to Coding Compliance Manager in the Health Information Management Department of Cabell Huntington Hospital. Garrett has worked at Cabell Huntington Hospital since 1988, when she started her career as a coder analyst I and most recently has been working at a coder analyst II.
Garrett earned her Regents BA degree from Marshall University, and is a registered health information administrator and a Certified Coding Specialist with the American Health Information Management Association.
Kristie Winters
Kristie Winters, RN, has been promoted to Joint Replacement Program Coordinator at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Her responsibilities include coordinating surgery schedules, pre-operative patient education and post-operative care. She also ensures joint replacement patients receive the highest quality of care in all aspects of the process. Winters started working at Cabell Huntington Hospital as a charge nurse on the Transitional Care Unit in 1999.
She currently lives in Catlettsburg, KY, but is originally from Littleton, Colorado. She earned her nursing degree at Colby Community College in Colby, Kansas.
Sandra Holmes
Sandra Holmes, PhD, RN, APRN, has joined the Senior Services Department at Cabell Huntington Hospital to fill the Clinical Nurse Specialist position. Holmes previously worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the hospital?s Medical-Surgical nursing department. She has worked at Cabell Huntington Hospital since November 2006.
In her new role, Holmes will educate and mentor hospital nursing staff on geriatric health issues and develop plans for treating high-risk patients. She will also oversee screening and assessments of high-risk senior patients in an effort to avoid complications during hospitalization.
