CHH Offers Series on Grandparenting

Cabell Huntington Hospital is hosting an innovative grandparent training program called Grandparenting Central, that will provide grandparents with information designed to enhance the relationship between them and their grandchildren.

Grandparenting Central is free to area grandparents and will cover a wide variety of social and educational topics beginning in September.

Here is the schedule of upcoming workshops:

Thursday, Sept. 6, 4 to 8 p.m.

First Time Grandparenting; Education and Safety; and Grandparenting Children With Special Needs. The workshop will take place in the atrium of the Marshall University Medical Center on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital. A complimentary dinner will be served.

Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Your Legacy as a Grandparent and Grandparenting at a Distance will be discussed. Complimentary lunch will be served. Location to be announced.

Saturday, Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What's Hot and What's Not and Grandparenting Rights will be discussed. Complimentary lunch will be served. Location to be announced.

Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Fun activities grandparents can do with their grandchildren. Complimentary lunch will be served. Location to be announced.
