Chris Carter Named Director of Critical Care at CHH

Chris Carter, RN, MSN
Chris Carter, RN, MSN, has been named director of Critical Care at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Carter, who has more than 21 years of healthcare experience, will oversee the operations of the Adult Intensive Care, Surgical Intensive Care, Burn Intensive Care and Cardiac Intensive Care units, as well as the Telemetry and Cardiac Stepdown units.
Originally from Ona, Carter graduated from Marshall University's School of Nursing with a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree in nursing administration.
Carter worked for the West Virginia and Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates for 10 years, was nurse manager of the Telemetry Unit at Cabell Huntington Hospital for a year, then worked for three years at University Physicians and Surgeons as the practice manager for the Marshall University Department of Surgery before taking his current position with Cabell Huntington Hospital.
