CHH announces new hours for ImmediateCare
Last updated: 04/29/2008
To meet the early morning and late night needs of patients with minor injuries or illnesses, Cabell Huntington Hospital today announced new hours for the Emergency Department's ImmediateCare. Patients can be seen in the Cabell Huntington Hospital ImmediateCare from 8 a.m. to midnight seven days a week, said Maria Summers, RN, nurse manager for the hospital's Emergency Department.
Sometimes, patients need medical attention before their regular doctor's office opens or after it closes. Those times can be busy Emergency Room periods that could result in a wait for patients with less serious ailments or injuries. ImmediateCare offers a faster alternative to the Emergency Room.
"We want to meet the needs of those patients who may need medical attention at times when they can't get to their regular physicians," Summers said.
Cabell Huntington Hospital currently has 10 ImmediateCare beds in the newly renovated Emergency Department located just off of Hal Greer Boulevard.
