Cabell Huntington Hospital receives national award for customer service excellence

Cabell Huntington Hospital has been awarded the Hospital of Choice Award, an award given each year by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers (AAHCP) to hospitals that demonstrate excellence in customer service. Cabell Huntington Hospital is the only Tri-State hospital to be named a Choice Award Winner in 2008 and is a finalist for the Hospital of the Year award given each year by the AAHCP.

"We are honored to be a 2008 Hospital of Choice Award winner," said Brent A. Marsteller, Cabell Huntington Hospital's president and chief executive officer. "At Cabell Huntington Hospital, we are committed to continually improving the care and service we provide to our patients each and every day."

The Hospital of Choice awards are designed to identify and recognize America's most customer-friendly hospitals. This most recent group of award recipients, including Cabell Huntington Hospital, was recognized especially for "unparalleled commitment to good citizenship and community service," according to the AAHCP. The award selection process involved reviewing public information such as websites, news releases, announcements, as well as phone surveys of hospital staff and applications submitted for review.
