The Cabell Huntington Hospital Center for Surgical Weight Control has expanded and is relocating to the 20th Street Professional Building in Huntington. The Center for Surgical Weight Control, recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, has a new office location designed to better meet the needs of weight-loss surgery patients. Patients will begin using the new clinic at 1115 20th Street in Huntington on Tuesday, March 25. The office will be open 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Blaine Nease, MD, FACS, director for the Center for Surgical Weight Control, and his staff now have a new home for their team approach for weight-loss surgery patients. The new center features four exam rooms, staff offices, a full-time dietitian and a state-of-the art body composition analyzer that will provide pre- and post-operative patients with more information on how to reach and maintain their weight-loss goals and assist the staff in developing individualized diet and exercise plans for each patient.
The new facility also includes a large community room that will be used to hold monthly support group meetings for bariatric surgery patients as well as informational seminars for patients as they prepare for their surgery. The new location is on the ground floor, just a short walk from convenient parking.
Patients will still have their surgical procedures at Cabell Huntington Hospital, where they will recover in new, spacious rooms located in the North Patient Tower. Pre- and post-surgical office visits will take place in the new offices on 20th Street.
