Mahmoud Shorman, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained specialist in infectious diseases, has joined the Cabell Huntington Hospital Medical Staff and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine as an assistant professor.
Dr. Shorman is certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Jordan University of Science and Technology and he completed residency training in internal medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, NY. Dr. Shorman also completed fellowship training in infectious diseases at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
As an infectious diseases specialist, Dr. Shorman diagnoses and treats patients with a wide range of health problems that can be caused by infections, including those caused by bacteria and viruses.
