The Joint Commission, in conjunction with The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, recently recertified Cabell Huntington Hospital with Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center. Achievement of Primary Stroke Center Certification shows the hospital’s dedication to fostering better outcomes for patients. CHH first received Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission in 2011.

Joint Replacement Program. After an on-site evaluation of the joint replacement program by a reviewer from The Joint Commission, CHH’s Mary H. Hodges Joint Replacement Program has again earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for Healthcare Quality and Disease-Specific Care Certification for both hip and knee replacement surgery. The program’s processes, ability to improve patient care and patient and staff interview responses were among the many items evaluated by the Joint Commission team. CHH first received the Joint Commission certification for hip and knee replacement in 2010.
