Cabell Huntington Hospital's Cardiac Services and Senior Services will host a series of free heart health activities at the Huntington Mall Food Court each Wednesday in February from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Cabell Huntington Hospital's Cardiac Rehabilitation team will be on hand to measure height, weight, Body Mass Index, heart rate, oxygen saturation and target heart rate range during exercise. Blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will also be offered.
Members of Cabell Huntington Hospital's Food Service staff will be on hand for an informal Heart-to-Heart question and answer session about nutrition and heart health. The CHH Cardiac Rehab team will also offer the same screenings as Feb.2 along with blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.
Cabell Huntington Hospital pharmacist Jon Wietholter will be offering information about congestive heart failure and conducting an informal Heart-to-Heart question and answer session about medications. The CHH Cardiac Rehab team will also offer the same screenings as Feb. 2, and blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be available.
Free fasting& blood sugar and cholesterol screenings will be offered. Dr. Everett Wray, a cardiologist from University Cardiology Services, will share information about diagnostic heart catheterization and implants such as pacemakers, and he will conduct an informal Heart-to-Heart question and answer session addressing questions you may have about heart health.
