Cabell Huntington Hospital invites high school students considering a career in the medical field to participate in its Medical Explorer Post program. The next Medical Explorer Post event will take place on Friday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m.
This session will highlight neuroscience and neurosurgery at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dr. Richard Coulon, a pediatric neurosurgeon with Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Department of Neuroscience at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, will share his expertise in brain and spine surgery with students.
Medical Explorer is a program for high school students ages 14-20 who are interested in medical services. Students take part in workshops, hands-on experiences and listen to guest speakers from Cabell Huntington Hospital. Medical Explorers meets once a month. A $10 annual registration fee is due at the event.
Students interested in attending the event are to meet in the atrium of the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
