Physicians, nurses and other medical professionals who care for critically ill or injured children will gather on Saturday, September 18, to hear from medical specialists on topics including pediatric trauma, infectious diseases and care for high-risk infants.
The Pediatric Acute Care Conference, sponsored by Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, will take place in the Harless Auditorium in the Marshall University Medical Center. The conference is open to medical professionals, including physicians, medical students, nurses, emergency medical personnel and respiratory therapists. It is primarily intended for those working with the pediatric population in pediatric offices, emergency departments, pediatric units, pediatric intensive care units or any acute care facility, but is recommended for anyone wanting to expand his or her knowledge of pediatric acute care issues.
