Visiting Hours
General visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you would like to visit past normal visiting hours, please register at the nurses' station and obtain a visitor's pass. After-hours visitors must check in at the Security Office in the Emergency Department to be registered and given a visitor's pass.
Mother/Baby Unit - (304) 526-2360
- Fathers: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Siblings and grandparents: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friends and family: 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
Intensive Care Unit - (304) 526-2385
Visitation times are every three hours for 30 minutes from 6 a.m. until midnight. There is no visitation from midnight until 6 a.m. Always use the phone in the lobby labeled "ICU" to ask for permission to visit. Two people may be at the bedside at a time. You may trade off visitors in the lobby. Guests must be at least 13 years of age to visit. Please make arrangements for younger visitors to remain in the lobby. There may be times that visitation is limited due to patient privacy or confidentiality. Any adjustments to meet patient needs will be communicated by the ICU staff. The Intensive Care Unit lobby pay phone numbers are (304) 528-9688 and (304) 528-9689.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - (304) 526-2399
Parents of patients may visit 24 hours a day, with the exception of the staff shift change from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Immediate family may visit when accompanied by the child's parent.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - (304) 526-2370
All visitors must check in at the desk before entering the Intensive Care Nursery. NICU visiting hours are:
- 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
- 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
- 7:30 - 10 p.m.
To promote your baby's health, everyone must wash his or her hands thoroughly when entering the nursery and before touching a baby. No one should be in the nursery if he or she is ill (i.e. runny nose, sore throat, cold sore, recent exposure to chicken pox, etc.), including post-partum mothers with temperatures above 101 degrees. If you may be ill, please discuss it with your child's nurse or physician. Brothers and sisters age 4 and older who are healthy are encouraged to have supervised visits with the new baby. All children under 12 years of age must wear a mask, and visits are limited to 15 minutes. During RSV and flu season (October-April), sibling visitation is limited to children 13 years and older. Visiting Guidelines
Your visit is important to the recovery of your relative or friend; however, we ask that you follow certain guidelines when visiting patients at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
- Each patient is limited to two visitors at a time
- Visitors should check with the nurse before entering the patient's room
- Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- Children who have been exposed to chicken pox within the past seven days or visitors with illnesses are not allowed on the unit
- In most cases, children are limited to a 10-minute visit. Please supervise children at all times
- No smoking is allowed in the hospital; there are designated smoking areas outside. For everyone's comfort, please refrain from smoking near hospital entrances.
- Restrooms are located in or nearby all waiting areas; please do not use the restroom in a patient's room
- Please do not bring food or lounging or sleeping equipment to the waiting areas
- Visitors may call the nurses' station at any time to check on their loved one, but please try to limit calls to one per family. This allows more time for the nurses to care for your loved one.
- All visitors shall comply with the West Virginia Health Code and wear proper attire while in the hospital, e.g., shoes, shirt
- After 8 p.m., visitors are required to stay on the unit indicated on their passes. If you are in another area of the hospital, you will be asked to return to the designated unit. Under no circumstances will visitors be allowed to wander around the hospital
- Overnight visitors of patients in semi-private rooms should be of the same sex as the patients in that room, except on the pediatric unit

Airport Information
The Tri-state Regional Airport [
] is located about nine miles from the ECCC, near Exit 1 off I-64. Tri-State Airport is the host of two major carriers: US Airways and Delta Connection. These carriers serve the two hub cities of Charlotte and Cincinnati with more than 700 connecting flights to and from 160 additional cities.

The ATM is located on the ground floor in the atrium near the entrance to the Marshall University Clinical Practice Center.

Bio-Ethics Consultants
Members of the Bio-Ethics Committee help patients, family and friends identify, analyze and resolve ethical issues related to patient care through information-gathering and discussion. Although the consultants do not make decisions for the people involved, they do offer advice, make recommendations and identify supportable options. Patients, family members and professionals remain responsible for their own decisions. There is no charge for ethics services. Bus Services
TTA provides transit services Monday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. in the greater Huntington, West Virginia urban area. TTA buses travel from Huntington to Milton and Barboursville. The TTA information telephone number for all calls about regular bus route service is (304) 529-RIDE. The telephone number for all calls about Dial-A-Ride service for the disabled is (304) 529-7700.
TTA bus fares are simple. Each time you board a TTA bus, your basic fare is only 50 cents. Exact change for your bus fare is required. There are two fare zones. If you travel in to or out of the Huntington city limits, there is an additional charge of 25 cents. Customers with a Medicare card ride for one-half the fare. Dial-A-Ride fares are twice the regular fare. Just call (304) 529-RIDE for the exact fare for your bus trip with TTA.

Chapel/Meditation/Prayer Room
The chapel is on the first floor off the Cabell Huntington Hospital lobby. Services are offered on special occasions as posted. The chapel remains open during the day so that anyone is welcome to visit and spend a few quiet moments in reflection.
Coffee Bar
Perk Place, which is on the ground floor opposite the Gift Shop, offers regular and specialty coffees, teas and other beverages, along with an assortment of fresh pastries and other snacks.
Correspondence
Mail is delivered daily to inpatient rooms. Stamps may be purchased at the Credit Union on the ground floor near the cafeteria or using the stamp machine in the atrium near the Gift Shop. Outgoing mail may be placed in the mailbox outside the entrance.

If you would like to request copies of your medical records, please complete an Authorization To Use/Disclose Health Information. This form can be downloaded or obtained from the Health Information Management Department located on the ground level of Cabell Huntington Hospital This form may also be mailed/faxed to you if it's more convenient; just provide us with a fax number or mailing address.
In Person: To request your records in person, please come to the Health Information Management Department located on the ground level of the hospital. Please bring a picture ID to prove your identity.
By Mail or Fax: To request your records by mail, please download and complete the Authorization To Use/Disclose Health Information. Be sure to have your signature notarized if you are not returning the form in person. You may fax your notarized request to (304) 526-2012. You will be contacted if pre-payment is required. Telephones
Cell Phones: Because cell phones may interfere with the functioning of some hospital equipment, there are restrictions on using them in parts of the facility. Please check with a staff member to be sure cell phone use is permitted in the area before turning your telephone on.
Public coin and credit card-operated telephones are in the atrium near the Harless Auditorium.
Translation Services
The hospital has access to interpreters for sign language more than 100 languages. Please ask a staff member for assistance or call (304) 526-2090.

Valet Parking
Cabell Huntington Hospital offers free valet parking weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Just pull your car up to the main entrance under the canopy, and a parking attendant will give you a receipt, take your keys and park your car. When you are ready to leave, simply give the attendant your receipt and the car will be driven up to the entrance for you.
Vending Machines
Vending machines can be found on the ground floor near the cafeteria opposite the elevators or near the Emergency Department waiting room on the first floor.

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are available near each entrance to the complex. Please pull your car up under the canopy and tell the security guard, transportation attendant or valet that you need a wheelchair.
