Billing Inquiries
When you are a patient at Cabell Huntington Hospital, you are considered our guest. Staff members from the Business Office and the Financial Counseling Office are on hand to address your concerns. Questions about your bill or your insurance coverage should be addressed to the Business Office. If you need to discuss difficulties in paying your bill, please call or visit the Financial Counseling Office.
Financial Counseling
Financial counselors are here to talk with you about your hospital bills and to ease any concern you may have about them. There is a $500 deposit required on admission for private-pay patients. The balance is due at discharge. If this is impossible, the financial counselor will work with you to help alleviate any hardship you may have in paying your bill.
Here are the steps to follow with the financial counselor:
- The financial counselor will discuss your credit and monthly income with you.
- Based on this information, the counselor will set up a payment plan.
- The counselor will then direct you to other possible sources of payment.
The financial counselor's office is on the ground floor in the Registration area in the lobby, close to the entrance to the hospital. To call the financial counselor from outside the hospital, dial (304) 526-6099. Patients may simply dial 6099 from their rooms.
Remember, your health and well-being are our primary concern. You will be registered and treated regardless of your ability to pay.
