Cancer Care

Adults and children with cancer may be treated at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center at Cabell Huntington Hospital. There, patients will find a warm, inviting atmosphere and a convenient approach to treatment and testing. The Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center offers a complete array of services for cancer patients under one roof. Patients can see a physician, complete lab work, undergo chemotherapy and receive radiation all in one place.
Should surgery be necessary, Cabell Huntington Hospital is right next door, with an experienced surgery and recovery staff waiting to care for each patient. Support services such as social workers, dietitians, rehabilitation specialists, pharmacists and chaplains are all on site. Patients will receive care in a familiar, convenient, comfortable, attractive atmosphere designed just for them - the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Gynecologic Cancer Support Group
Sharing is a support group for women with ovarian, cervical, endometrial or uterine cancer, and it meets at 5:30 p.m. the first Monday of every month in Room G403 off the atrium on the ground floor, near the main hospital entrance. Refreshments are served. Dr. Gerard Oakley serves as the medical advisor, and everyone is welcome. For more information: Call Gigi Gerlach at (304) 526-2443.
Breast Cancer Support Group
Sisters of Hope is a breast cancer support group that meets at 5:30 p.m. the third Monday of every month in Room G403 off the atrium on the ground floor, near the main hospital entrance. Dr. Shawn McKinney is the medical advisor, and breast cancer survivors and their family members are welcome. For more information: Call Gigi Gerlach, RN at (304) 526-2443.
