The Employee Assistance Program was developed for employees who want to solve problems at work or at home. It is managed and staffed by trained counselors. Employees can discuss problems about work, loneliness or stress, depression and worry, spiritual conflicts, marital problems, grief and loss, parenting concerns, low self-esteem and alcohol or drug abuse.
If counseling is covered, insurance is accepted, or your counselor may negotiate an affordable plan of payment. No one is refused for financial reasons.
The counselors help anyone with problems regardless of religious views. The client and the counselor work together to determine what tools are best for helping to resolve issues.
A CHH counselor is a good listener who understands feelings and problems and can help you find solutions or strategies for coping. Sessions are usually 45-50 minutes long. Clients decide how many sessions are necessary. Most people like to come once a week until they feel satisfied with their progress.
While we do not prescribe medication in our office, counselors can refer clients to their doctor or suggest someone who can help them.
Yes. The first session can be used as a time for assessment, and to learn what counseling is about.
