Meeting the religious, spiritual and emotional needs of CHH patients, their families and staff through ministry, counseling and education is the goal of the Department of Pastoral Care and Education.
The department is a nationally accredited center for clinical pastoral education and offers continuing education programs to clergy and healthcare professionals.
Trained pastoral counselors within the department help with problems that may arise in connection with an illness or crisis. Chaplains are on call 24 hours daily to provide pastoral visitation, counseling, scripture reading and prayer, within the scope of a person's individual religious beliefs. Employee Assistance
Employees who are experiencing problems in their personal and professional lives are eligible to receive counseling through the hospital's Pastoral Care Counseling Program. See Employee Assistance Program for more information.
