James C. Jensen, MD, FACS, the former director of robotic surgery at the Utah Prostate Center in Salt Lake City, joined Cabell Huntington Hospital's Medical & Dental Staff in September 2006. He was the first urologist to perform robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery in Utah, and now has done more than 500 robotic radical prostatectomies, many of them here at the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center. According to industry statistics, he is in the top 20 robotic surgeons in the world. Patients have come from as far as Alaska to have him perform their surgeries. Jensen specializes in robotic surgery for urologic cancer with a particular emphasis on prostate cancer.
