• Local Cancer Research May Have Worldwide Impact

  
  A technology to help identify the most appropriate chemotherapy for cancer patients has been developed by MU scientists Dr. Pier Paolo Claudio and Dr. Jagan Valluri, in cooperation with the McKown Translational Genomics Research Institute and the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center.

• Neurosurgeon Joins Medical Staff

  
  Robert Marsh, MD, PhD, has joined the medical staffs at CHH and Marshall Health. He is a general neurosurgeon who provides care for patients with a wide range of brain and spine conditions, including surgical procedures for back and spine disorders or injuries.

• Director Named for Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center

  
  Uma Sundaram, MD, an experienced physician researcher, has been named Director of the Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center and Vice Dean for Clinical and Translational Sciences at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where he will expand research programs that help patients in our region.
