Dr. Ali Oliashirazi, or "Dr. Oli" as his patients affectionately call him, is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in joint replacement, minimally invasive, computer-assisted and robotic surgeries.
Dr. Oli has developed a world-class joint replacement program staffed by physician specialists who use advanced techniques and state-of-the-art technology. It includes extensive education to prepare his patients about what to expect before, during, and after their procedure. Under his leadership, the joint replacement program at Cabell Huntington Hospital:

Dr. Oli currently serves as the Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. He is also the School of Medicine’s Vice Dean for Business Development.
Dr. Oli graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine, where he was the valedictorian of his class. He was the President of AOA Medical Honor Society while in medical school, and completed his orthopedic training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and his passion and expertise is joint replacement surgery, specifically knee replacement surgeries. He lectures extensively, and his international and national research has received multiple first place awards.
Dr. Oli founded Marshall Orthopedics in 2001. Marshall Orthopedics has been recognized nationally as being one of the top orthopedics and joint replacement centers in the country. Through his leadership, Marshall Orthopedics has been awarded the Heart for the Homeless Award, the Distinguished Giver Award, and multiple Medallion Society Awards.
Because of his body of work, Dr. Oli has been elected into the West Virginia Health Care Hall of Fame as well as the Huntington Wall of Fame.
