Marshall Health Network - Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) has been named among America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2025. Newsweek’s award list was announced on April 16 and can be viewed on Newsweek.com.

CHH is the only hospital in West Virginia to be recognized on the list.

“Being named one of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals by Newsweek is a testament to the expertise, compassion and commitment of our maternity care team,” said Tim Martin, chief operating officer for CHH “We are proud to offer high-quality, personalized care to mothers and newborns across the region, and we’re honored to be the only hospital in West Virginia recognized with this distinction.”

High-quality maternity care, provided from pregnancy through birth and postpartum, is key to the long-term health of newborns and women who give birth. Given that maternity care is a major component of health care, Newsweek and Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, have partnered to identify America’s Best Maternity Hospitals in 2025.

The America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2025 ranking awards the leading hospitals for maternity care in the U.S. based on hospital quality metrics, patient experience surveys and a nationwide online survey of health care professionals and hospital managers with knowledge about maternity processes.

“This recognition reflects the commitment of our entire women’s and children’s team — from our obstetricians and nurses to our residents and support staff,” said Melanie Akers, vice president of Women’s and Children’s Services for Marshall Health Network. “We are deeply committed to providing safe, supportive and personalized care at every stage of the maternity journey, and we’re honored to be recognized nationally for our work.”
