Marshall Health Network provides free cancer screenings through See, Test & Treat program

Monday, April 14, 2025

Backed by a grant from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation, Marshall Health Network’s St. Mary’s Breast Center and FaithHealth Appalachia have partnered to offer a See, Test & Treat cancer screening program to provide free mammograms and Pap tests to women.

This special event will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., across three convenient locations:

  • St. Mary’s Breast Center at Edward’s Cancer Institute, 2860 3rd Ave., Huntington
  • Edwards Cancer Institute at Rivers Health, 2520 Valley Dr., Point Pleasant
  • Cabell Huntington Breast Center at Edward’s Cancer Center, 1400 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington

Women who are uninsured or underinsured in Huntington and surrounding communities must register for the event, as space is limited. Participants will receive same-day results, as well as pampering with massage therapists, nail technicians and light refreshments.

We hope this free program will connect women in our community with services they need to stay healthy,” said Anne Hammack, clinical coordinator of the Breast Center. “It is so important that women get screened early for breast and cervical cancer because catching these cancers in their early stages can literally save their lives - both of these cancers are easier to treat earlier on than in later stages.”

To register, please call 304.526.1492 or visit faithhealthappalachia.org/see-test-treat/. Transportation is available for those in Cabell County who need assistance getting to their scheduled appointment.
